Pray for Afghanistan!

Matthew 5:10 says,  “10“Blessed are those who have been persecuted for the sake of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.”
One of the greatest needs the church of America, and around the globe, are praying for today are those believers, as well as our military, in Afghanistan. We know that many men, women and children are willing to meet their Creator for the sake of being a Christian and refusing to deny the name of Jesus! But in the midst of it all, they can do it with joy in their hearts because they know the kingdom of heaven is their reward! What faith! What glory!

Catalytic Ministries, which is a ministry whose primary focus is to reach Muslims, in particular in the Middle East, with the gospel of Jesus Christ. This past week, they posted a report that one underground church network in Afghanistan, which had roughly 320 people in it, grew to approximately 2500 in a two-week span! It reminds me of when Exodus 1:12 says the more the children of Israel were afflicted, the more they grew! Affliction will precede growth, and supernaturally, multiplication of the church happens in alignment with persecution. The remnant church rises up with authority and power, and it should be an inspiration to us to not only walk in and grow in faith, but in spite of anything we are facing today, if those believers can march forward and grow, we can too!

So, we want to encourage you to pray for the nation of Afghanistan, and here are some prayer directives:
1) The Christian believers in Afghanistan will be miraculously protected and grow in spirit and number.
2) Every plan and plot against Christians by the Taliban will be foiled and come to nothing in Jesus’ name!
3) Taliban members will have radical conversions with “Road to Damascus” experiences with Jesus!
4) Our military and U.S. civilians will return home safely!
5) Revival will continue to flourish in Afghanistan!
6) God would give us the heart and faith of those believers in Afghanistan!

Will you agree with us in prayer today?
