Too Lazy to Plant Seed

Proverbs 20:4 (TPT) says, “If you’re too lazy to plant seed, it’s too bad when you have no harvest on which to feed.”

The church has conjured up the idea that if we pray and seek God for revival, He will do all of the work. Yes, when we humble ourselves, pray, seek His face and turn from every wicked way, He will hear from heaven (2 Chronicles 7:14). He will pour out His Spirit in these last days, rending the heavens as we rend our hearts, but our prayer life is not an excuse for us to be too lazy to plant seeds. If we do not have any seed in the ground, when He does pour out His Spirit, there will be no harvest to obtain! We have to have something in the ground if we want to raise up a harvest for His name.

This seed that I am talking about is not money. It is sowing God’s Word in the hearts and lives of other people so that when He does pour out His Spirit, their hearts are convicted to turn to Him. Their minds shift to Him like never before, even when they go through things. Revival is not an excuse to be lazy, but what it takes to bring it is exactly what it takes to sustain it, and some. It requires work on our part! We must execute our authority here on earth by conflicting the negatives with the positives. Let’s be obedient and see what God does in these last days!
