Respecting Other Anointings!

1 John 2:27 says, “But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.”

Every anointing in the work of the LORD and ministry is significant and important. All of them are rooted to the same person:  the Holy Spirit! One ministry may operate in a prophetic anointing while another may operate in an apostolic anointing, but it is all rooted in the same Spirit to give God the glory and praise He so overwhelmingly deserves while leading people to Jesus Christ. 1 Corinthians 12:3-4 says, “4Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit. 5And there are differences of administrations, but the same Lord.” These gifts and administrations are not working against each other, but they should be formally joined together in presenting the true gospel. As long as they are seasoned in an anointing that has been birthed from the secret place of prayer, it will ultimately destroy yokes and set people free!

Therefore, we should not compete with other ministries, but we should respect the anointings that are present in each house. If you cannot receive from someone else because you think your Pastor is better or your worship team is “more anointed”, then you need to humble yourself because you are out of order! We all have something to learn concerning God, His Word and His kingdom. We must glean from each other’s anointing to grow in our faith. There is no room for jealousy, pride or selfishness because the Holy Spirit will never anoint this kind of behavior and attitude. Do not equate eloquent speaking and talented musicians as anointed. You can go to concerts and find some of the most talented musicians and singers on the planet! It is about operating in the power and authority of God cohesively to impact others to follow Jesus Christ! We must use discernment to determine what is or is not anointed and appointed by God, and if it is anointed, listen to and worship with them. Let’s work together to build the kingdom, not be divided!
