How to Make Imaginations a Reality!

Genesis 11:5-9 says, “5And the LORD came down to see the city and the tower, which the children of men builded. 6And the LORD said, Behold, the people is one, and they have all one language; and this they begin to do: and now nothing will be restrained from them, which they have imagined to do. 7Go to, let us go down, and there confound their language, that they may not understand one another’s speech. 8So the LORD scattered them abroad from thence upon the face of all the earth: and they left off to build the city. 9Therefore is the name of it called Babel; because the LORD did there confound the language of all the earth: and from thence did the LORD scatter them abroad upon the face of all the earth.”

Those responsible for the Tower of Babel could do anything that they imagined to do because they were in unity. They were united in their imaginations! If our imagination is stemmed from expanding the kingdom of God together, not even the gates of hell can prevail against it!

Nehemiah 6:9 (NLT) says, “They were just trying to intimidate us, imagining that they could discourage us and stop the work. So I continued the work with even greater determination.”

Just like Nehemiah, we have to be determined to see what we have imagined to become a reality. We must refuse to be discouraged and stop due to accusations and oppositions. Our determination must be greater than that. If it seems like we have fallen or taken a couple steps back, it is perfectly fine. What won’t kill you will only make you stronger! Therefore, keep dreaming and working to see those dreams come to pass! Dreams don’t come to pass on their own. They require work, and if they are not bigger than you, then they aren’t big enough. They must require a confidence in God to bring them to pass, as well as working with a kingdom family in the spirit of unity to see it through.

Jeremiah 7:24 says, “But they hearkened not, nor inclined their ear, but walked in the counsels and in the imagination of their evil heart, and went backward, and not forward.” The wrong imaginations will always keep you going backward rather than moving forward! Therefore, surrender those imaginations to God’s imaginations!

1 Chronicles 28:9-10 says, “9And thou, Solomon my son, know thou the God of thy father, and serve him with a perfect heart and with a willing mind: for the LORD searcheth all hearts, and understandeth all the imaginations (H3336) of the thoughts: if thou seek him, he will be found of thee; but if thou forsake him, he will cast thee off for ever. 10Take heed now; for the LORD hath chosen thee to build an house for the sanctuary: be strong, and do it.”

God searches our hearts and knows our minds, and if our imagination is aligned with His, we will have a perfect heart and willing mind. This willing mind is willing to dream wherever and however God wants to take it. We must be willing and never resistant to God’s purposes. Once we have a willing heart, there are no limits to what God can do in and through us! When your imagination is willing, you will be positioned to where God can be found! The imagination in Solomon’s heart was to build a sanctuary set apart to house the glory of God, and God’s presence would meet them there. God will always call you to do something bigger than you because if it doesn’t require faith, then it doesn’t require Him!

Psalm 33:10-11 says, “10 The LORD bringeth the counsel of the heathen to nought: he maketh the devices of the people of none effect. 11 The counsel of the LORD standeth for ever, the thoughts (imaginations) of his heart to all generations.”

God wants to make known the imaginations of His heart to every generation, but it can only come when we choose to stand in the counsel of the Lord rather than the counsel of the ungodly.

Proverbs 16:3 says, “Commit thy works unto the LORD, and thy thoughts (imaginations) shall be established.”

If you want your dreams to be fulfilled, be committed to doing exactly what God has called you to do. Then your imaginations will be established!
