Implant Seeds of Deception and Lies

2 Corinthians 10:4-5 says, “4(For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) 5Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ”.

Since Satan is the father of lies, every word he speaks is to deceive you. So why entertain his thoughts or believe what he says? If you hear a lie long enough you will believe it. Therefore, shut the lies up and walk in the truths of God’s Word!

This is what Satan’s Plan looks like: thought—imagination—action—stronghold
Your mind is created to give it thoughts to think. If you put on the mind of Christ (1 Corinthians 2:16), meditate upon God’s Word (Joshua 1:8; Psalm 1:2), and allow the Holy Spirit to fill your mind with the potential of heaven (Isaiah 55:8-11), you will silence Satan’s lies (Psalm 8:2).

In Acts 5:3, Satan had filled Ananias’ heart to lie to the Holy Spirit. You can never deceive the Holy Spirit. So, it is important to uproot that seed! Cover your heart with the breastplate of righteousness. Let righteousness protect your heart! (Ephesians 6:14) You can’t think two thoughts at the same time! Therefore, meditate on the goodness and grace of God so you can take upon yourself His righteousness and holiness, walking in the fear of the LORD!

Matthew 16:23 (Passion) says, “Jesus turned to Peter and said, ‘Get out of my way, you Satan! You are an offense to me, because your thoughts are only filled with man’s viewpoints and not with the ways of God.’” Satan operates in opinions and pleasure of men. Crucify opinions and selfish ambition so you can be aligned with the will of the Father. If you do not, then you will accomplish Satan’s objectives rather than God’s purposes.

Luke 22:31-34 (Passion) says, “‘Peter, my dear friend, listen to what I’m about to tell you. Satan has demanded to come and sift you like wheat and test your faith. But I have prayed for you, Peter, that you would stay faithful to me no matter what comes. Remember this: after you have turned back to me and have been restored, make it your life mission to strengthen the faith of your brothers.’ ‘But Lord,’ Peter replied, ‘I am ready to stand with you to the very end, even if it means prison or death!’ Jesus looked at him and prophesied, ‘Before the rooster crows in the morning, you will deny three times that you even know me’”.

Part of Satan’s tactic of deception is to “sift as wheat”. Wheat was threshed, which was when oxen trampled over wheat to separate it from the chaff (Deuteronomy 25:4). It was threshed by riding a sled over the sheaves, then using a fork to throw the straw up so the grain would fall to the ground, or by rolling over the sheaves with a cart having 3 or 4 heavy rollers of wood, stone, or iron (Dake’s Annotated Reference Bible, p. 503). In other words, when you have been walked over, it is not to beat you down, but to separate those things that have been trying to attach itself to you that are not of God.

The wind of the Holy Spirit will blow away the chaff out of your life that is trying to connect itself to you and bring you down (John 3:8). On the other hand, the chaff is caught away with every wind of doctrine (Ephesians 4:14). The wind of the Holy Spirit consecrates the wheat, but the wind of false doctrine blows away the chaff to where it becomes nothing!
Knowing that Jesus is praying for you and aligning with His prayers will sustain you (Romans 8:34).

While Satan sows seeds of lies, God sows seeds of life, truth and deliverance! You cannot sin when the seed of God’s Word is in you. It shows that you are born of Him (1 John 3:9). Mark 4:15 (NASB) says, “These are the ones who are beside the road where the word is sown; and when they hear, immediately Satan comes and takes away the word which has been sown in them.” In this parable, the birds (prince of the power of the air) snatch the seeds on the way side. Satan operates in taking the seed of God’s Word before it can be planted. This illustrates lacking discipleship following an encounter.
A seed has to die in order to give life. The seed of God’s Word will kill your flesh, but the seed of Satan will abolish the truth. The seed that you protect, water and nurture will prophecy what you will become!

Luke 11:24-26 (TPT) says, “When a demon is cast out of a person, it goes to wander in the waterless realm, searching for rest. But finding no place to rest it says, ‘I will go back to the body of the one I left.’ When it returns, it finds the person like a house that has been swept clean and made tidy but is empty. Then it goes and enlists seven demons more evil than itself, and they all enter and possess the person, leaving that one with a much worse fate than before’”.  After receiving deliverance, if you do not fill your mind and heart with the Word of God, the enemy will come back to revisit you with those old temptations, and if you cling to the cycle, you will become worse rather than better. There is no question whether or not the enemy will come back and tempt you with your past weakness because he does not forget your past. The issue is whether or not your house is filled with the Spirit and Word of God when He returns! The enemy will seek to form a stronghold quicker than ever before if you are not equipped to defend the work God has already accomplished in your life. It is why you MUST change your habits to accommodate and welcome the Holy Spirit!
