Condemning the Enemy’s Lies

Isaiah 54:17 says, “No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of me, saith the LORD.”
One of the greatest inheritances that a believer receives from the Father as a child of God is he or she can condemn every word that rises against them in judgment. The reason is because there is no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus (Romans 8:1), and God alone is our Judge. We do not have to live in accordance with someone’s expectations for us since Jesus is the ultimate standard for our lives. Our ultimate pursuit should simply be to be more like Christ, which is accomplished with who we are, which in turn translates to what we do and how we carry ourselves! If a weapon formed against us does seem to be prospering over us, then we are either not serving God from the place of sonship, we are not activating and utilizing the authority He has given us, or we are not saved! It is time we prosper over every plan and word of the enemy because of the finished work of the cross!

As a believer, you have the inheritance of condemning words of judgment spoken against you. It’s not about condemning negative words and simply speaking positive, but it is about condemning lies and speaking truth. Some judgments against you can come out of biased opinions, the wrong first time impressions, or even jealousy, but you do not have to victimized by those words. If it is constructive criticism, then you should take into consideration what is being said so you can be held accountable and grow wiser and stronger. However, when they are lies, condemn them in the spirit of prayer and when they are told to you, and allow your integrity to defend itself! Even some things you may say may appear to be negative, but if it is the truth, then at the end it will make you free (John 8:32)! If an atmosphere is negatively charged, in order to change the atmosphere, you have to do positive works, which are acts of obedience. You can expose and speak against the lies of the enemy, but if you want to fully condemn those lies, then you must refuse to live a lie by living in the truth of the gospel!
